Bombay 7/7 in Lille, France
As of Dec. 14th, the in situ and interactive installation “MAAD” by Alok b. Nandi can be seen everyday till January 14th in the exhibition “Bombay Maximum City”, in the lille3000 India Festival. This first version of the installation - looking at “mariages arrangés, amoureux, dérangés” as a social construct in urban setting - is showing the dynamics of communities in this megapolis, microcosm of India, microcosm of the globe (?) and proposing critical distance in certain rituals.
